Darul Sehat Hospital is a flagship project of Darul Shifa International (PVT). In the year 2000, the management of Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry decided to acquire Darul Sehat Hospital which was the need to have a teaching hospital to fulfill the PMDC requirement. Now DSH is a 250-bed tertiary care teaching Hospital for LCMD. It has well-equipped separate departments supported by experienced and skilled human resources, providing quality healthcare services through integrated medical units.
Darul Sehat Hospital was declared a sick unit and had been running into losses when it was acquired. Allied Bank and IDPB were the main creditors along with a few more and the hospital was in default when it was taken over. Suppliers of equipment & medicine had sizeable outstanding & heavy amounts of utility bills were also overdue for long. Salaries of Doctors, consultants, and staff, were overdue for a year, and a sizeable electric bill and other overdue payments were also the potential threat to the new management.
The hospital was in pathetic condition there was no concept of individual departments and the so-called emergency was not more than just an unequipped clinic same is the condition of the wards and ICU. The diagnostic facility is minimal and most of the equipment is outdated.
The New management of Darul Shifa took the challenge, bought the sick unit, and made the turnaround in just a few years. Soon after taking over the hospital, it's up gradation and expansion process started in the form of:

- 2- Human Resource
- 3- Acquisition of advanced technology
The state-of-the-art dentistry division has been introduced for this purpose new building has been constructed where dental patients have been taken care of under visionary leadership and quality cure. The 75 dental units placed in five different dental departments are working under senior faculty members who are known for their professionalism and quality work.

Over five years, fully implement the required elements of the newly defined, integrated health care delivery and financing system. This will incorporate a state-of-the-art Healthcare Management information system including the Electronic Health Records (EHR).
